Apprenticeship - Early Years Educator
Up to 30 hours a week Monday to Friday
£5 per hour for the first year of training and then from £8.75 per hour for workers aged 25 and over. From £8.70 per hour for workers aged 21 to 24 years. From £6.15 per hour for workers aged 20 and under. Please note: if you are over the age of 25 or under the age of 21, the National Minimum Wage and the National Living Wage will apply.
We are looking for an Apprentice Early Years Educator. We require someone that has a real passion to work with children, is hard working, reliable, friendly, flexible and enthusiastic. Applicants must also have good time keeping skills.
Our apprenticeship is a work based training program to enable the successful applicant to gain experience in an early years setting, whilst training and gaining a Level 2 qualification as an Early Years Educator.
A current paediatric first aid certificate and safeguarding training is desirable but not essential as full training will be booked where needed.
The role will be to provide high quality care and education to our nursery children in Hove. Duties include but are not limited to being a key person to a group of children – using Tapestry (online Learning Journey) to write observations, plan next steps and write termly reports; planning and participating in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities; liaising with parents, ensuring our policies and procedures are followed and role modelling practice across the setting.
Applicants must have a real desire to work in the early years; excellent organisational skills, a willingness to gain knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS); good computing skills; the ability to work as part of a team; excellent communication skills are also desirable to share information with other Early Years Educators and parents.

Fizzy Fish in Hove and Portslade is looking for Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educators to be our permanent bank staff to cover holidays, sickness and CPD courses. We are looking for one or two bank staff so that our Fizzy Fish children have consistency of care and they will become an invaluable part of our team. We require someone that has a real passion to work with children, is hard working, reliable, friendly, flexible and enthusiastic. Applicants must also have good time keeping skills. A current paediatric first aid certificate and safeguarding training is desirable but not essential as full training will be booked where needed.
