Free Early Learning Sessions for 2 Year Olds
Some 2-year-olds are eligible for free early education for 15 hours per week, up to 38 weeks per year depending on when they become eligible.

As we strongly believe that children benefit from continuity of care, we feel that children should only attend one nursery or pre school setting. Where the time is split with a childminder we ask that there is a regular relationship between us (with the agreement of parents) and are happy to spilt the funded hours on a 50/50 basis. For example, if your child attends a childminder, they should offer 15 funded hours to that child and the additional 15 hours should be claim by us.

If you receive one or more of the following benefits, your child is entitled to a free place:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
- The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and have an annual income not over £16,190
- The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
Children are also eligible if they
- are looked after by the local authority (eg foster care)
- have left care through special guardianship, adoption or residence order
- have a statement of special educational needs, an education, health and care plan, or receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- have a child protection plan.

- from the start of our term after 1 January
- from the start of our term after 1 April
